

While the Farah poster is an image that is (and was) inescapable, in the Senior Lounge at The Covington Latin School in the Fall of 1976, the preferred (or at least more ubiquitous) image was from the Time cover of 22 November.
The Connecticut (or Hartford or Wicked) Wits were a group of late-18th-century poets who first attempted to write a distinctly American literature. THEY FAILED.
Never understood why Jaclyn Ellen Smith never got enough press. Sorry Farah. RIP.
